When it’s really cold and the water in the harbor is just the right temperature, we have a phenomenon here in Gloucester called “sea smoke”. It’s not actually fog but a layer of moisture that hangs over the water and looks like smoke. Only happens a couple of times a year. I took this video on New Year’s Day.
